  The Michigan Twisters captured two titles this week. The Twisters
won the Midland Michigan League with a record of 17-1.  Then
they went on to win the Michigan Class B State Title.  Things
didn't start out very good due to a first game loss to Up-To-Date
Painting 7-4.  They bounced back to defeat The Buzz 2-1 and 
turned their attention to Frankemuth's Tiffinays beating them
13-0 in five innings.  They then met up with Priority Mortgage
in the fianls of the losers bracket defeating them 9-2 to play
Kelders Poured Walls in the Championship round.  Down 4-0 to
nothing in the 5th the Twisters mounted a rally to win 7-6. 
 The Twisters then carried their momentum into the if neccessary
game where the played five innings to win the State Title 11-1.
 A true team effort led by strong pitching performances by Rick
Engle and Ryan Nichols.  Offensively the Twisters were led by
Seth Freed who had an outstanding tournament.  The Twister have
compiled a record of 38-6 and look forward to having a strong
showing at this years World Tournament held in Iowa.  They will
be participating in the AA Division which kicks off on August
17th.
