Greater Ottawa Fastball League Showcase

Fitzroy Harbour Community Centre will host the fourth annual Greater Ottawa Fastball League Showcase on June 5 and 6. The weekend will feature eight teams playing eight games which will all count in the GOFL standings.

Things start Friday night June 5, with a West Carleton Minor Softball League (www.wcminorsoftball.ca) Peewee Boys game between the Fitzroy Harbour “Junior Electric” and Kinburn at 7pm, followed by hosts West Carleton Electric against the Stittsville 56ers at 9pm.

Games start at 10am on Saturday June 6 with two games, including West Carleton Electric versus Manotick Lomor Printers.

At noon there will be a kids’ softball clinic for boys and girls so that young players can learn some tips from members of the GOFL. The clinic is free, and all participants will get a hot dog and drink as well as an entry to win a new bat, courtesy of COMBAT Sports.
