Enterprise jumped out to an early lead scoring in the first inning without the benefit of a hit. Lyle Brown lead off the inning with a walk and then came around to score on 3 passed balls. Kurt Clark led off the second inning with a single to left field but pinch runner Ryan Gibbons was stranded at third base. Clark’s hit was the only hit of the game given up by Ottawa pitcher Dan Bradley. Ottawa Team Easton left 9 base runners on through the first 6 innings of the game, with runners in scoring position in four of those innings. In the seventh, Ottawa finally were able to score off of Clark. Dave Tubman led off the inning with a triple and scored on a ground out by Kevin Chevier to tie the game. Dan Jessiman then hit a triple of his own. Kevin Brown then entered the game in relief of Clark. Randy Peck was hit by a pitch and advanced to second on a passed ball. Darryl Buttar drove in both runners with the third triple of the inning.

Waterdown took advantage of a two out walk in the top of the first inning to open the scoring. Tim Coe drew the walk and was able to trot around the bases on a homerun to right centre field by Kyle Davis to put Waterdown ahead 2-0. Waterdown scored runs in the third, fourth and fifth innings as this game ended after five innings due to the mercy rule. In the third inning, Waterdown took advantage of a couple of fielding errors and an RBI single by Davis to make the score 5-0. After scoring a sixth run in the fourth on a passed ball, Andrew Hill and John Kemp drove in the final runs of the game with a single and a double respectively. Ottawa Valley was unable to get any offence going despite having the leadoff man single to start each of the first two innings. After the second, Waterdown starter Tim Neil did not allow a baserunner.

Donnaconna pitcher Francis LeClair came within out out of pitching a perfect game and ended up facing the 21 batter minimum as he throw a no-hitter. Ryan Sharpe was the only runner to reach base, as a result of a throwing error in the top of the seventh inning. Donnaconna took advantage of a throwing error that allowed Michael Dumas to get into scoring position. After advancing to third base, Dumas was able to score the opening run of the game on a sacrifice fly to left field by Jean Pierre Savard. In the fifth inning, Dumas singled and stole second base. Jean Daniel Doucet followed with a double to make the score 2-0. Steve Savard drove in Doucet with a single to extend the score to 3-0.

Quyon took advantage of three Scarborough errors in the top of the second inning to build a 6-0 lead. Joe McCleary drove in one run with a single and Joran Graham drove in 2 runs with a double on Quyon’s only two hits of the inning. Scarborough used a Quyon error to help them get onto the scoreboard in the third inning. Nick Dambrosio drove in Jake Taylor with a single. Quyon added one more run in the fifth inning to end the game due to a mercy rule. B. Young tripled home Nick Armitage, who had led off the inning with a single.

In a well pitched game, Carp was able to score the only run needed in the top of the third inning. Trevor Wood hit a two out double and scored when Mike Money singled. Carp did not have another runner past first from that point on. The Northern Explorers left a runner stranded at third base in each of the fourth, fifth and sixth innings, including a leadoff triple in the fourth.

Blackburn opened the score in the top of the second inning, receiving an RBI by Stefan Sklepowicz and a two run triple by Norm Manns. Fitzroy cut the Blackburn lead to 3-1 when Todd Clouthier drove in Neil Murphy, who had doubled to lead off the inning. In the sixth inning Terry Jones hit a one out single and later scored on a single by Anil Hayne. In the top of the seventh inning, Joe Allan hit a solo homerun to make the score 5-1. Fitzroy Harbour were only able to score one run in the bottom of the seventh as their rally fell short. Jon Daley drove in Steve Johnson, who had led off the inning with a single.

Tyler Robinson followed with a ground ball to shortstop that allowed Hannah to score the only run of the game. The Cowboys had runners reach second base only three more times during the game. Enterprise also had runners reach second just three times during the game and had their best chance to score in the sixth inning when Lyle Brown doubled and moved to third base on a passed ball before being stranded.

Brandon Horn led off the bottom of the first inning with a double and then stole third base. Dale Boadway then followed with a ground out that scored Horn giving Scarborough the early lead. In the fourth inning, Scarborough combined two hits, two walks and an error to scratch four more runs arcross the plate. Ryan Freedman scored on an RBI fielder’s choice by James Murchison. Boadway and Murchison were plated on a triple by Cam Hauck and Hauck scored on an RBI single by Robert Bennett to extend the lead to 5-0. Valley put together a four hit rally in the top of the sixth inning, scoring twice on RBI singles by Bryce Levesque and John Zeiger. In the bottom of the inning Cam Hauck drove in his third run of the game with a single that scored Andrew Putnam, who had earlier singled.

Waterdown opened the scoring in the bottom of the first inning on an RBI single by Kyle Davis that scored Dave Brownhill, who had led off the inning two outs earlier with a single. Donnaconna rallied in the fifth inning to tie the score. Johnathan Darveau hit a one out single to start the rally and then stole second base. After a strikeout, J.P. Savard singled to score Darveau to knot the score. Both teams received excellent pitching performances during this game. Donnaconna had the best chance to score the go ahead run in the sixth inning when they loaded the bases with no one out, only to have Tim Neil retire the next three batters via strikeout. In the nine inning, Frederick St. Pierre started the inning at second base as per the international tie breaker. After being sacrified to third base, St. Pierre was able to score on a double by Michael Dumas. Jean Daniel Doucet followed one out later with an RBI double and he scored on a triple by Steve Savard. Waterdown was able to get two runners on in the bottom of the ninth before Francis LeClair struck out the next three batters to end the game.

Team Easton opened the scoring in the bottom of the third inning. Scott Herriott was hit by a pitch and moved to second on a passed ball before scoring on a single by Dave Tubman. Tubman later scored in the inning to make the score 2-0. In the fifth inning Team Easton scored four more times and ended the game due to the mercy rule. Herriott led off the inning with a single and scored one out later on a double by Kevin Chevrier. Dan Jessiman singled Chevrier home to make the score 4-0. After John Peck walk and both runners had moved up on passed balls, Craig Buttar scored them both with a single.

Blackburn opened the scoring in the bottom of the first inning when Terry Jones reached base on a two out error that allowed Joe Allan to score. Allan had singled to start the inning. Carp tied the game in the second innin Matt McNish reached base on an error and came around to score on a ground out by Al Read. In the third Carp struck for three runs, Steve McLaughlin drove in the first run before scoring on a two run homerun by Matt McNish. Carp extended the lead to 5-1 in the fourth inning after Al Read led off with a single and scored when Trevor Wood reached base on an error. Blackburn scored once in the home half of the fifth inning when Joe Allen singled home a lead off triple by Tyler Cox. Carp immediately responded in the sixth with an RBI triple by Shawn Houle that scored Trevor Wood. Blackburn took advantage of an error in the seventh inning to score once but they could not continue the rally.

Stephen Milic drew a two out walk and scored on an double to the right centre field gap by Cam Hauck. The Cowboys were unable to get a runner in scoring position throughout the game, settling for only three hits against Andrew Putnam.

Dave Tubman led off the game with a single for Team Easton and scored the first run of the game on a sacrifice fly to left field by Darryl Butter. In the third inning Buttar drove in his second run of the game, this time with a single that scored Kevin Chevrier. Donnaconna made a pitching change and brought in Luc Thibault to replace Francis LeClair. In the sixth inning, Donnaconna took advantage of a walk to Jean Pierre Savard and a timely RBI single by Steve Savard to score their only run against Team Easton starter Dan Konkle. In the top of the seventh inning Team Easton exploded for four runs. Todd Fraser drove in a run after being hit by a pitch and John Peck singled in two more runs before Fraser scored on a passed ball to close the scoring.
