http://www.fastpitchwest.com/images2/aau_usa.jpg
The AAU International Tournament at the Wide World of Sports complex at Orlando, Florida, begins today, January 19 and runs through Sunday.

Click here for AAU Pools and Schedule. First pitch is 4pm EST Thursday. 28 teams, two days of round robin play, plus two more of championship bracket play, with the championship game at 12 noon Sunday.

Several ISC II teams will be competing in the tournament, including Earl’s Club, WI, Orr Park, OH and CPI (formerly McKie’s), NY.

The AAU is a big supporter of ISC II fastball, as the main sponsor of the Ballparkradio broadcasts for the past two years. In 2005, the ISC II broadcast 26 of the 103 games played at Chippewa Falls, WI.

Eastern Ontario ISC II Qualifier

Wednesday, January 18th, 2006

Fitzroy Harbour, Ontario

West Carleton Electric Men’s Intermediate Fastball Club is pleased to announce that Fitzroy Harbour will be hosting the ISC II eastern Ontario qualifier on June 16-18, 2006. Format will be double-knockout, entry fee $325. Depending on the number of entries, some games may also be played at the Stittsville diamond.

The winner will receive a berth in the “ISC II Tournament of Champions” in Kitchener Aug 13-18 to compete against the best in North America.

The tournament is open to all ISC II teams in Ontario and Quebec. We hope to have all 10 teams that were in the successful Blackburn 2005 qualifier back, plus a few more. Ottawa Team Easton Thunder led by Dan Konkle and Dan Bradley defeated the Micksburg Twins in last year’s final. Team Easton Thunder went on to finish 3rd of 38 teams at the 2005 ToC in Wisconsin. The Cobourg Stingers finished third in Blackburn last year and also accepted a berth at the ToC when Micksburg was unable to attend.

It should be an excellent weekend. Fitzroy Harbour has been the host for intermediate tournaments the last four seasons, including the 2003 OASA Men’s C. Teams that have played in Fitzroy Harbour before know that we have a nice facility and get good crowds out, and it should be the same this June.

If you have any questions about the event, accommodations, or anything else, just let me know.

regards,
Adam Brown

Snapper Shootout June 2-4, 2006

Thursday, January 5th, 2006

Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON

Attention Fastball Community

SNAPPER SHOOTOUT
June 2-4, 2006
Centennial Park
Niagara-on-the-Lake (Virgil), Ontario

The Snapper Shootout Tournament Committee is hard at work as planning for this years event is well under way. The Shootout enters it’s third year of existence and looks to be better than ever. The field of teams simply gets tougher each year and 2006 will be no different. Once again this year we are pleased to welcome our buddies to the south as several U.S.-based teams have confirmed entry and, fresh off their ISC II Tournament of Champions win, the Elmira Cubs will be making their Shootout debut. The host, Niagara Snappers, are two-time defending champions and will be in tough to keep their streak alive. In a short time, the Snapper Shootout has become one of the premier ISC II level events in North America and acts as a great tune-up for teams wanting a preview of the competition prior to qualifiers and the ToC.
