Regina Saskatchewan ISC II Tournament

Sunday, June 1st, 2008

The Regina Gold won the ISC II (Skins format) 10 team tournament by defeating the previously undefeated Gordon’s Hawks by a score of 4 to 1 in the Final Game of the tournament. The Hawks had not allowed a run in their previous 4 games going 3 and 0 in the round robin and then winning the semi final by a score of 14-2 over the Saskatoon Padres to advance to the final.

The Gold had to rely on the arm of Stephen Kwasnicki to win the final after pitching 23 innings over the full tournament including 6 in the semi final and all 7 in the final. Regina wins the opportunity to attend the ToC, but cannot make the trip.

Kelvington PDC Comets have accepted one of the two berths to the ToC that were available at the tournament. The second will be announced soon.
